COVETING: Club Monaco Kelsi Quilted Knit Dress
Although I'm not totally ready for fall, I'm definitely stoked for fall fashion. This adorable little Club Monaco dress is the perfect transition piece. It's cute on its own, but would be perfect with tights and booties come cooler weather. I love the bold trim, and the little diamond quilted pattern is so classic. It's as effortless as a T-shirt, but infinitely more chic, which is always a win in my book.
Every once in awhile, I stumble across a contemporary brand with pieces that are absolutely undeniable, despite a high price tag. IRO is just such a brand, with clever twists on classic pieces that make them totally covetable. Ulta-soft leather, fantastic motorcycle jackets, luxe details... All the ingredients for a glamorous and sophisticated-chic look are there, and I can certainly consider myself obsessed.
I love the contrast in fabrics on this piece, which would be the perfect jacket for fall. The fact that the lambskin leather sleeves can be scrunched is fantastic, and the ribbed-knit bodice looks so soft and comfortable. It's such a great take on the classic motorcycle shape, easily dressed up or down.

What I love about this dress is that it not only has great color and shape, but it has fabulous texture. The mesh layer adds an extra dimension to the design, and I love the long sleeves. The off-center knot at the hip creates a really pretty, flattering, and unexpected shape, and the kaleidoscopic print is to die for.
When fall finally does hit, I plan to embrace it fully with sweaters that are incredibly chunky and cozy. This cardigan is the perfect example, with its wide ribbing on the trim, off-center zipper, and thick front panel. This is exactly the kind of thing I would keep at my desk to throw on when the office gets too chilly to handle.

Yes, this jacket is incredibly pricey -- even on sale. But what a showstopper. With zippers at the wrists, leather trim on the shoulders, and wide leather panels on the backs of the sleeves, it would be fantastic even without the sequins... But of course they're there, and it makes this piece so unique. Plus, it's dressy enough to wear for nights out in even your chicest of little black dresses, solving the perpetual issue of staying warm at night when the temperatures drop.
