good enough to eat -- homemade peanut butter cups.

Although nothing makes me happier than being in the kitchen, candy-making can be quite the debacle.  Between melting and getting syrups to the correct temperature, there's so much room for error that aside from my favorite caramels, I rarely bother.  But with Halloween on the horizon, a homemade take on classic candy seemed appropriate.  Reese's Peanut Butter Cups (especially the holiday editions) are one of my all-time favorite treats, and I couldn't resist making my own by way of this recipe.  Although they weren't quite as visually appealing as I'd hoped, these made for the perfect tasty October confection: smooth milk chocolate with a truly addictive peanut butter filling that I couldn't seem to stop eating straight out of the pot.

Wishing you all an absolutely delicious weekend!
xo Josie

Ummmm my jaw aches right now and it's only because my mouth has been open during this entire post. I didn't even know it was POSSIBLE to make homemade peanut butter cups.

This recipe might have saved my life. (Okay, I'm being dramatic, but seriously, freaking out here).
