Summer, my dears, is coming to a rapid close. This weekend marks not only the beginning of September but also Labor Day, the official beginning of fall as far as I'm concerned. The weather, naturally, hasn't caught up to the seasonal change. Since spending my summer in New York, I've been craving the famed Magnolia Bakery Banana Pudding. Making my own version at home was the perfect solution and provided me with a cool, creamy treat with flavors and textures that melded beautifully. As for serving containers, transparency is a must -- the layers are too pretty not to be seen by everyone. Whether you go for single servings in pretty parfait glasses or take the more rustic family-style approach (a la Magnolia) with a big glass bowl, this is sure to be a crowd-pleaser.
Wishing you all a fabulous Labor Day weekend -- see you Wednesday!
xo Josie
