When it's hot out, I gravitate towards ice cream. It's a survival instinct of some sort, I'm convinced. And discovering just how easy and delicious it can be to make my own frozen treats has only fueled this love. However, in the interest of not buying an entire new summer wardrobe to accommodate my ice cream habit, I realized quickly that making my own ice cream could become detrimental and switched over to a new delicacy: sorbet. This strawberry-rhubarb version was not only seasonal and simple but also light, refreshing, tasty, and perfectly-textured -- exactly what I was looking for on a day when the mercury rose at an alarming rate.
Wishing you all a beautiful summer weekend!
