entertain me -- ice cream sundae party.

ATTAINABLE: Bauble Bar Braid Block Bib; retail $32
I often find that elaborate jewelry is just too heavy for summer and defer to super-delicate pieces to look chic while battling the heat.  This bib necklace is simply too pretty to resist, though.  The colors are light and feminine, and the shapes make a statement but aren't so big as to weigh a look down.  How sweet would this be with a crisp white dress and chunky wedges?

Many of my favorite summer memories revolve around ice cream -- and I say that with no shame.  Minnesota has some of the best ice cream in the country, no joke, and it's always been one of my greatest vices.  Dairy Queen drive-thru runs with my best friends in high school, walks around some of Minneapolis' prettiest lakes with a cup of Sebastian Joe's Oreo ice cream in hand, stopping at Izzy's with my older sister for mini-scoops as we cruised around St. Paul... The smell of waffle cones and creamy texture of perfect scoops forever bring these thoughts to mind.  As July is National Ice Cream month, I'm looking for a slightly more sophisticated way to celebrate than downing a Vermonster on my own (although I have no doubt I could do it).  I can't imagine a better way than celebrating the flavors of summer with friends at a charming ice cream sundae party.
