With the official onset of summer this week, I find myself increasingly drawn to single-piece outfits that have a truly laid-back vibe.  This Soft Joie dress fits the bill beautifully.  With a drawstring waist, soft construction, and killer tie-dye detail, it's so simple and would be amazing with wedges or a pair of flat sandals and an oversized bag.

 

It's really hot outside.  With temperatures in the low 100s for the past few days, Manhattan has felt like a hotbox, and pounding the city sidewalks is wearing me out.  I'll be spending the weekend attempting to keep cool in my favorite ways.  I predict a lot of ice cream, breezy sundresses, ice-cold Diet Cokes, and, as much as I love the sunshine, spending as much time ensconced in air-conditioned rooms as possible.  How about you?
