It's certainly no secret that I have quite the love affair with salted caramel (I made another batch of
these this week and highly recommend that you do the same). Thus, I knew immediately upon realizing (quite enthusiastically) that I had an ancient, completely-forgotten, crank-handle ice cream maker hiding in a hard-to-reach cabinet that I'd be making a salted caramel variety of my favorite treat. I turned straight to the master of all things ice cream and used David Leibowitz's delectable
recipe to create a smooth, creamy ice cream that impressed everyone who tasted it -- totally worth the slightly painstaking method.
Wishing you all an ice-cream filled weekend!
xo Josie
