I love birthdays -- other people's birthdays, that is.  So many people get excited about the cake and candles and all of the attention, and I'm always thrilled to coordinate and plan such activities, but as for me?  I'm just thrilled to be keeping it a little low-key today and to discover that I have the same birthday as one of my all-time favorite bloggers.  I've already been inundated with calls and texts that remind me just how lucky I am to have such fabulous family and friends.  And as it's the first year in quite awhile that I won't spend the day studying for finals, I decided to ring in my birthday with several of my favorite things: a little lace, a lot of texture, and, of course, a touch of sparkle (photos to come).
